About 70 people were injured, of varying degrees, during clashes between businessmen protesting against quarantine and police in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev.
The head of the “Union for the Defense of the Business Sector”, Sergey Dorotich – in statements reported by the (Russia Today) news channel today, Saturday – said that the clashes occurred during the attempt by demonstrators to erect a large tent in front of the State Presidency on Independence Square in Kiev.
He added that the police used tear gas to disperse the protesters, who threw smoke bombs at security forces.
Today, Ukraine recorded 11,742 new cases of the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19), and 213 deaths .
