89.5 million tests to detect infection with the Coronavirus in Russia

A statement by the Russian authority said today, Monday, that 416,000 tests for the new Corona virus have been conducted in Russia during the past 24 hours alone. The statement added that 660,9 people are still under medical observation throughout the country on suspicion of being infected with the Coronavirus.

Russia had begun a mass vaccination campaign against the Corona virus, under the direction of Russian President Vladimir Putin, on December 5.

It is reported that the Russian authorities announced the registration of the world’s first vaccine against “Covid-19”, which is “Sputnik-V”, last August. So far, two vaccines have been registered in Russia, the first “Sputnik-V”, which was developed by the “Jamali” Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology Research, and the second was called “Epivac Corona” and developed by the Russian State “Victor” Center.
