The Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said today, Tuesday, that South Korea recorded 869 new cases of coronavirus, down from the record of 1,097 on Sunday.
South Korea managed to keep infections relatively low during the previous two waves of infection, but containing the third wave is more difficult due to its emergence in the densely populated capital area.
