Brazilian newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo reported, Wednesday, that the effectiveness of the Sinovac Biotec vaccine to prevent COVID-19 exceeds 50 percent in last-phase trials.
She added that the Chinese company asked the Brazilian institute that is conducting the experiments to wait 15 days before publishing its full results.
The Botantan Institute, which manages the experiment in Brazil, and the São Paulo government, which oversees the institute, declined to comment, saying there would be more details at a press conference held at 4 p.m. local time.
