Azerbaijan announces one soldier was killed and another wounded in an attack in the Karabakh region

Today, Monday morning, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense announced that a soldier was killed and another wounded in an attack on an Azerbaijani site in Karabakh, according to media sources.

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, confirmed that his country is capable of conducting military operations deep in the territory of Armenia.

Aliyev stressed – during a visit to the Qabadili district, which Azerbaijan had regained – the need for Baku to maintain a strong army.

Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan does not intend to take such measures, because it has always respected international law, and does not have any aspirations in the territories of other countries.

The Azerbaijani president called on the Armenian community to “draw correct conclusions” from the results of the recent round of fighting in Karabakh, warning that if the Armenians maintain a “vengeful spirit”, they will lead to a “bad end.”
