CNBC reported that Mick Mulfini, the US special envoy for Northern Ireland, resigned today to protest the violence in the US Congress yesterday, Wednesday.
Rudy Giuliani was the attorney for outgoing US President Donald Trump, describing the violence in the Congress building as disgraceful and as criminal as the riots last summer.
“This violence is condemned in the strongest terms … and is inconsistent with our values,” Trump’s lawyer said in a tweet on his Twitter account. “Our case is to obtain a fair vote and end voter fraud before it becomes a permanent tactic for the Democratic Party.”
The US Senate and Representatives agreed in their joint session to certify that Joe Biden won the US presidential elections, by more than 270 votes.
A short while ago, the US House of Representatives refused to contest the results of the US presidential elections in Pennsylvania.
