Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said on Thursday that he hopes democracy and peace will prevail in the United States, in response to a question about hundreds of President Donald Trump’s supporters storming the US Capitol on Wednesday.
“We hope that peace will prevail, democracy prevail, and freedoms will continue there,” he said in a regular press conference.
