Al-Arabiya confirmed, in urgent news to it a short while ago, the arrival of a South Korean destroyer to the Strait of Hormuz to follow up on Iran’s seizure of its ship.
Earlier, a spokesman for the Iranian government rejected, today, Tuesday, allegations that Iran’s seizure of a South Korean tanker is like taking hostages, and said that Seoul is the one who has “mortgaged” seven billion dollars of Iranian money..
“We have become accustomed to such allegations … But if there is any dependence, it is the Korean government that is mortgaging seven billion dollars of our money without any bond,” spokesman Ali Rabiei told reporters in an online press conference.
