The study highlighted that some goods and services that are part of the general CPI for the Metropolitan area They fell in price, with respect to the general CPI of November 2020: tourist packages and expenses, meals outside the home, and car insurance, among others.
Among the products that dropped in price and affect both indexes, LP gas, women’s shoes, toilet soap, chicken pieces, Oaxaca cheese and asadero and gasoline, among others, stand out.
In addition, in November 2021, in both indices the prices of health and personal care, education and recreation fell.
For example, in the health and personal care group, in November the cost of shampoo, dyes, rinses, toilet soap, toothpaste, among others, fell.
In the education and entertainment group, declines in the price of televisions and textbooks dominated. The transport and communications group was influenced by the decrease in the gasoline price (-0.009%).
In days past, the president of the National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism of Monterrey, Javier Arteaga Gutiérrez, indicated that as a result of the pandemic, consumption has changed, from three times a week to once a week.
