On Sunday, Bloomberg News quoted well-informed diplomats as saying that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has informed the five permanent members of the Security Council that he would like to remain in office for a second term.
The diplomats added that Guterres would likely formally inform the president of the United Nations General Assembly soon.
