Australian athletes headed to Tokyo Olympics to be given COVID-19 vaccine

Australian athletes heading to the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics will be given access to coronavirus vaccines before the games.

Health Minister Greg Hunt and Sport Minister Richard Colbeck said the decision by National Cabinet applied to more than 2,000 athletes and support staff.

Both the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines will be used.
