Deputies summon the head of Cofepris to a work meeting in San Lázaro

The Health Commission of the Chamber of Deputies agreed to summon the head of the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks to a working table (cofepris), Alejandro Svarch Pérez, on February 21 at 5:00 p.m.

Deputy Xavier González Zirión (PRI) pointed out that it is important that the head of Cofepris appear, and not only hold a working meeting as agreed, to deal with corruption cases.

In her speech, the deputy Margarita García García (PT) asked to resume the canceled appearance of the head Institute of Health for Well-being, Juan Antonio Ferrer Aguilar, in order to discuss important issues, as well as the meeting with Cofepris.

While Deputy Salomón Chertorivsky asked Dr. Andreu Comas García, a doctor at the Health and Biomedical Sciences Research Center of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí, to make room at the next meeting, who has carried out an evaluation of the history of pandemics and epidemics in Mexico.

Deputy Francisco Favela Peñuñuri (PT) said that officials must go to the cameras, because when they go to the headquarters, legislators are not always received.

The deputy Frinné Azuara Yarzábal (PRI) subscribed to the proposal that the officials come to the Chamber of Deputies before the Health Commission.

The deputy Antolín Guerrero Márquez (Morena) expressed his appreciation to the presidency of the Commission for his work, since he has helped to transit the meeting in a cordial manner.

The legislator María Sierra Damián (PAN) spoke in favor of the head of Cofepris going to the Chamber of Deputies.
