The Federal Center for Labor Conciliation and Registration (CFCRL) presented the result of the vote on the legitimation of the collective bargaining agreement carried out by the Single Union of Electrical Workers of the Mexican Republic (SUTERM) with the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE).
According to the minutes published by the Federal Center, the SUTERM, led by Víctor Fuentes, obtained 57,032 votes in favor of legitimizing the collective agreement, which represents 90.2% of the workers who had the right to vote.
The presentation of the results does not mean that the Federal Center for Labor Conciliation and Registration endorses or has authorized the registration of the collective agreement of the SUTERM, as you still have 20 calendar days to validate the results and analyze possible nonconformities.
After the intense dissemination campaign carried out by the union organization through social networks to publicize the voting process to legitimize the contract, only 8,035 votes against were obtained.
The Federal Center for Labor Conciliation and Registration, headed by Alfredo Domínguez Marrufo, explained that the consultation was carried out in the 31 states of the Republic and Mexico City last week, thus complying with the labor reform that came into effect on May 1, 2019.
According to the official document issued by the Federal Center, 116 votes were annulled; Therefore, 65,067 effective votes were counted in the process that took place on December 1, and it was announced that in the CFE there are 72,192 workers.
