Fox Sports suffered an embarrassing blunder when its W-League soccer coverage crossed to an unknown man working remotely from his bedroom.

The worker, who could be heard clicking his mouse while staring at his screen, appeared to be unaware that his laptop camera was filming him.
The footage was played for 30 seconds before the network cut to an ad break and showed highlights of the men’s AFC Champions League.

It’s believed the man worked for an external video streaming company and was helping with the live broadcast, The Sydney Morning Herald reports.
Soccer fans quickly took to social media to share their amusement at the unexpected gaffe, with many noticing the large brass tuba sitting on the man’s table behind him.
‘Does this gentleman know that he’s on camera here? He’d be watching the same feed right? This is unbelievable stuff from Fox Sports,’ one fan wrote on Twitter.
‘Anyone who plays a tuba is alright be me,’ joked another.
‘This is a new low for fox,’ a third comment read.
Greens senator Sarah Hanson-Young blasted Fox Sports for doing a ‘half-assed job’ with their coverage of women’s sport following the hilarious oversight.
‘These repeated stuff-ups with the W-League broadcast are disrespectful to players and fans,’ she said.
Greens senator Sarah Hanson-Young blasted Fox Sports as doing a ‘half-assed job’ with their coverage of women’s sport following the hilarious oversight
‘Fox Sports should never have been given $40m of taxpayer money to broadcast women’s sport. If they’re going to do a half-assed job they should give the money back and it can go to the public broadcasters who should have gotten it in the first place.
‘Fans who have forked out for a pay TV subscription have paid to see their favourite team twice and certainly didn’t sign up to watch an analyst sitting in what looked like his bedroom.’
Last year Foxtel, who runs Fox Sports, was given $10million by the Morrison Government to create coverage of under-represented or niche women’s sports.
