Monterrey, NL. The government of Nuevo León reported that it achieved a savings of 85.8 million pesos in the public tenders carried out last December, due to the inclusion of new suppliers, that allowed having a greater offer and better prices in purchases, in which micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) also participated.
The holder of the Administration Secretariat, Gloria María Morales Martínez, indicated that more than 100 companies participated in the tenders, of which 79% were Mypimes.
The total stock of public resources channeled for the acquisition of products and services was carried out through 22 bids and two invitations to tender, held last December, which exceeded 388 million pesos.
“The savings were due to the efforts we made to invite new suppliers to participate in public tenders, this allowed us a greater offer and at the same time better prices in purchases,” said Morales Martínez.
Total 29 companies were awarded one of the contracts signed, which participate in sectors such as security, construction, cleaning, automotive and technology, among others.
Among the tenders with the greatest impact, stands out the remodeling and maintenance of the Community Centers, in charge of the Equality and Inclusion SecretariatAs these are a space for family, economic and social development of vulnerable sectors of the population.
Morales Martínez took the opportunity to invite businesswomen from Nuevo León to register in the Suppliers Register of the state to participate in the next public tenders, accessing the supplier portal or by email to suppliers@nuevoleon.gob.mx.
