A cat-killer who was found with child porn and threatened to bash a man with a baseball bat on social media has been thrown behind bars.
Kodie Love, 24, was sentenced to 12 months jail after being convicted over a series of offences at Cairns District Court on Thursday.
The ‘minor celebrity’ was charged with animal cruelty after he killed his neighbour’s car and tied it to a car in November 2019.
Love is known as ‘The Masked Hunter’ online where he shares photos of his fishing, hunting and 4WD adventures to more than 2,000 followers.

The court heard, the 24-year-old trapped the cat then left it in the hot sun before hosing it and killing it at his home at Kewarra Beach, reported the Courier Mail.
He then shared his neighbour’s private details to his Instagram page, saying it was ‘really hard not to go murder some c***.’
But after the stalking charges were laid he denied the allegations in another rant on his social media account.
‘Last time I spoke to him was a text message where I texted him and said: ‘I didn’t realise being a f***head was a disability’,’ Love said.
‘That was 12 months ago – but apparently I have been intimidating and stalking him.
‘I don’t know when. I haven’t f***ing spoken to him in 12 months.’

He was later banned from using social media by police as part of his bail conditions relating to his charges over the cat killing and threatening rants in February.
But only six mix months later he was hit with additional stalking charges for harassing another man he had sold a car to in Kuranda.
He flew a drone over his house and workplace then threatened to break the man’s legs with a baseball bat online.
The 24-year-old tried to hide what he was doing by using his girlfriend’s social media account to make the threat.
When police visited his home they uncovered eight images of child exploitation material.

But he says he has no recollection over the stalking offences because he was high at the time.
‘I don’t remember doing it because I was abusing my sleep medication,’ he said.
‘I regret doing it, it was a stupid decision.’
Judge Anthony Rafter described Love’s rap sheet as ‘a rather unusual set of offences.’
His charges included serious animal cruelty, two counts of stalking, three counts of stealing and breaching bail.
Defence barrister Joseph Jacobs said his client’s temper was a result of an old back injury.
‘He became angry with the world, he became very angry, very quickly at very small things,’ he said.
He will be eligible for parole after serving four months in prison.
