Juventus wins the Torino derby with Locatelli's killer goal in the Italian League

Juventus beat its neighbor Torino 1-0, in the city derby that brought them together today, Saturday, at the “Olympico di Torino” stadium, as part of the seventh round of the Italian League competitions for the current season 2021-2022.

The only goal of the match came through newcomer Manuel Locatelli with a shot from the edge of the penalty area 4 minutes before the end of the match.

Juventus started the match with the following formation: Goalkeeper: Szczesny / Defense line: Danilo – Chiellini – De Ligt – Alex Sandro / Midfield: Rabio – McKinney – Locatelli / Forward line: Bernardeschi – Chiesa – Moise Kean.

With this result, Juventus occupies eighth place in the Italian league table with 11 points, while Turin occupies tenth place with 8 points.

Juve won in the past two rounds both Spezia and Sampdoria, after failing to win in the first 4 rounds, in addition to beating Chelsea last Wednesday in the group stage of the Champions League.

Juve is seeking to regain the Italian league title this season, after losing last season to Inter Milan last season, despite the offensive crisis caused by the departure of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United.
