The commotion that had occurred in the last twenty-four hours around the figure of Kyrie Irving was going to end up having consequences sooner or later. Just yesterday it was made public that the base had been following in networks certain conspiracy theories that defended non-vaccination. Indeed, Kyrie is another one of those players who have publicly refused to get vaccinated. The problem is that New York State laws prevent you from performing your duties as a basketball player if you continue to give up the puncture, so for now will be absent from Media Day which begins today at the Brooklyn Nets facilities.
Some sources have already advanced that the player will have his meeting with the press telematically. The protocols of the Big Apple prevent Irving from attending any event his team attends within his city, but other states do not have these types of health protocols. This implies that Irving could play the training camp that the Nets plan to develop in San Diego. During the first interviews of the day, the press was visibly concerned, but Kevin Durant wanted to take the issue down by saying that he hopes “it’s not a problem. It’s a personal decision for Kyrie. I hope we have the whole team ”.
The NBA has not forced the players to be vaccinated, but the state legislation in force in each of the cities with equipment in the league poses a problem for when the season begins on October 19 against the Milwaukee Bucks. Part of the player’s environment, specifically his uncle Tyki, has hinted that perhaps the league should come to terms with the players.
