Luke Kornet will have a chance to show he deserves a place on the Boston squad. As reported by Chris Grenham of Forbes, the Massachusetts franchise has signed an ‘Exhibit 10’ contract to the pivot, so he will be at least in the team’s training camp for the 2021-22 season.
At 26, Kornet has played a total of 133 league games between the New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics, a team he reached just before the close of the transfer market last season. With the green jersey he played 18 games to average 4.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 14.1 minutes per night.
Looking to his future in the Celtics, they have 14 guaranteed contracts with the arrival via transfer of Juancho Hernangómez. Kornet should fight Juwan Morgan (recently signed) and perhaps Jabari Parker (who has his deal only partially guaranteed) for the last spot in the roster.
