Mystery as a man walks into a hospital with gunshot wounds to his legs – as police close down a neighbourhood street to investigate
A suburban neighbourhood has been closed down by police after a man walked into a hospital with gunshot wounds to his legs.
Police were called to Owen St in Woodville North, in Adelaide‘s north west, just after 12.30pm on Thursday after members of the public reported hearing gunshots.
A 45-year-old man later presented at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to his legs.
He was transferred to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a stable condition.
Officers have now cordoned off the street and are speaking to a number of residents to determine what happened.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police assistance line on 131 444.
