The Health Secretary increased this Saturday to 4 million 646,957 the official number of cases of Covid-19 that have been confirmed in Mexico in the pandemic. Deaths rose to 303,085, reported in its daily technical report.
Compared to yesterday’s records, the new figures mean increases of 51,368 in the number of new cases and 364 new deaths.
According to official information, there are 342,148 active cases in the country (those who presented their first symptoms less than 14 days ago and are still contagious) with an incidence of 263 per 100,000 inhabitants.
Despite the data on confirmed active cases, the government estimates that there may be up to a total of 362,512 active cases in the territory.
The 10 entities with the highest incidence rates in the country are Baja California Sur, Mexico City, which leads the accumulated cases, Tabasco, Colima, Nayarit, San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas, Coahuila, Querétaro and Yucatán.
