- A mother claims she found maggots in the Frankfurts she bought from Coles
- She only realised after her children had already eaten some for dinner
- A video shared on Facebook shows the grubs squirming around the deli meat
A horrified mother claims she found maggots in the cocktail frankfurts she was feeding to her children for dinner.
The woman complained to Coles after purchasing the items from her local store at Morwell, in Victoria’s Latrobe Valley.
She shared a video of one of the frankfurts being pulled apart to expose the grubs squirming inside the deli meat.
‘We bought a quick easy dinner for the kids tonight after swimming lessons from Coles in Morwell,’ she wrote.
‘Kids ate them, my oldest went to eat the last one and saw MAGGOTS in it!’
‘So disgusting! Rang Coles in Morwell they asked me to bring them back to prove it.’
She also shared a photo of her receipt to prove her purchase and said she was not interested in a refund.
‘A refund? For feeding my kids maggots? I’ll be calling the health department tomorrow,’ she wrote.
A representative for Coles responded to her complaint, apologising for the incident.

‘We’re very sorry to see this unpleasant experience with our frankfurts. We expect our products to be of a high quality at all times, so we apologise this wasn’t the case for you today,’ the spokesperson said.
‘We’ll pass this feedback and information on to our National Quality Team and our Morwell Store and Regional Managers so they can look into this further with the Deli Team in-store.’
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Coles for comment.
