Steve Kerr has work to do to remind Stephen Curry of the new rules this season. The Warriors point guard fell into the trap in the first preseason game and tried to take the foul from his defender with a totally unnatural and forced movement, prompting laughter from the Blazers commentator who reminded Curry that this is no longer a fault: “Not this year.”
The NBA has approved the change in the regulations with which remove certain unnatural moves from shooters like Curry, Doncic or Harden himself who make certain movements to force the fouls of their defenders when they are shooting to the basket and that is what the NBA has wanted to eliminate with this change in the norm.
These kinds of actions hurt these scorers who they constantly tried to foul their defenders to increase their free throw count in each shooting action. Either with those of the action or with the additional one in the event that the shot had entered.
