Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Council of Ministers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia decided, in its session held by video call, on Tuesday, to allow the issuance of residence permits related to work licenses and their renewal quarterly.
The decision stipulated, according to the official Saudi Press Agency: “Permitting the issuance of residence permits related to work permits and their renewal quarterly – every (three) months – as a minimum, with the exception of domestic workers and the like, and the division of obtaining the value of the work permit, residence permit, monetary compensation and fees. Necessary to obtain the above-mentioned residencies according to the length of stay.
In the session chaired by the King of Saudi Arabia, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Council of Ministers decided to “amend the name of the (Saudi Physician In Training) program to (Health Practitioners Training Program), and add the category of non-physician specialists accepted in the training programs implemented at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties to the program. According to the Saudi agency.
The Council also decided to “apply the wage scale for health practitioners working within the employment programs in public, specialized and reference government hospitals, approved by Royal Decree No. (4097 / MB) dated 06/25/1432 AH, to trainees enrolled in the program.”
