The European Union welcomed the announcement of the formation of a new Yemeni government within the framework of implementing the Riyadh Agreement, describing the step as positive towards a comprehensive political solution.
In a statement, the European Union expressed its appreciation for the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to ensure the prompt and full implementation of all provisions of the Riyadh Agreement.
He renewed his commitment to the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Yemen, and affirmed that he would continue to support efforts aimed at a peaceful solution to the crisis.
The statement said that the Union encourages all parties to engage with the United Nations special envoy for a nationwide ceasefire and the resumption of political talks.
