They seek to consolidate LitioMx operations in Sonora by 2023

2023 will start with a work meeting to establish the company’s operating plan LitioMx in Sonora, including its vision and objectives, informed the governor, Alfonso Durazo Montaño.

In a press conference, the state president announced that this work meeting will take place on January 12 and different orders of government will participate, this derived from the fact that the elaboration of the Sustainable Energy Sound Plan and your goals to follow.

“The vision of what the Sonora Sustainable Energy Plan is, which already transcends what is strictly Sonoran, has already been consolidated. In the case of Sonora, there is the issue of lithium. Already on Tuesday, Pablo Taddei was incorporated, already in full functions, as director of LitioMx ”, he indicated.

He stated that this next date was established as a result of the meeting this Tuesday with the President of the Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, and members of the federal cabinet.

“Obviously, the personal coordination of President López Obrador speaks of the relevance of the Sonora Sustainable Energy Plan for his government. But also the personal coordination guarantees that all the dependencies apply ourselves, in the best possible way, to present the advances that we have from one month to the next”, he pointed out.

According to the Sonoran governor, the final draft of the Sonora Sustainable Energy Plan includes the exploitation of lithium in the entity, what will be the process in which individuals may participate, that they associate with the company LitioMx and that the chain of grocery store in Sonora.

Also comes the construction of the Puerto Peñasco photovoltaic plantcreate five similar facilities distributed in Sonoran territory, the liquefaction of natural gas from Guaymas, to export it to countries in the Pacific basin, as well as the formation of a decentralized company, operated by the Secretary of the Navy (Semar) to manage the port of Guaymas, in addition to the airports of this municipality and Ciudad Obregón.

“This initiative is consolidated so that the issue of clean energy transcends beyond the territory of the state,” reported Durazo Montaño.

The leader of the state Executive revealed that it was agreed with the National Council of Science and Technology (Conacyt) modify engineering training programs.
