Worrying moment young ball boy collapses during Australian Open clash on an outdoor court in the sun
A ball boy has collapsed on a hot day at the Australian Open less than an hour into a singles match.
The boy suddenly fell to the ground during a first round match between South African Lloyd Harris and Mikael Torpegaard of Denmark just before 12pm on Tuesday morning.
Both players rushed over to help the ball boy who was then helped from the outdoor court by ground staff.
The mercury is expected to reach highs of 25C at Melbourne Park on Tuesday and 27C in other parts of the city.

‘Terrible situation on court 16, as a young ball boy collapsed. He looks better now and play is underway,’ Portuguese journalist Jose Morgado wrote on Twitter.
‘Players looked very concerned but all the staff was quick to help. Hoping it’s all good.’
