Child is fighting for life after falling five-storeys from an apartment block roof in inner Sydney

A child is in a serious condition in hospital after falling from an apartment block roof.
Emergency services were called to the unit block on Tuesday afternoon on Botany Road, in Alexandria, in Sydney’s east.
The child suffered a broken leg and internal injuries and was taken to Sydney’s Children’s Hospital in Randwick.
Police are investigating and were seen combing the roof of the block for evidence after the fall.
Residents living in nearby units gave statements to police, according to the Daily Telegraph.
A NSW Police spokesman said inquiries were continuing.
