Home cooks are losing their minds over a cake-shaped variation of lasagne – and it is served with ‘cheese sauce icing’.
The recipe was published on an Australian slow cooker recipe page and show a large, round lasagne, resembling a huge dessert, sitting on the plate.
The lasagne was made in a glass three-litre bowl, before being cooked in the slow cooker and then tipped upside down onto a plate.

It was served with cheese sauce poured over the top, side salad and garlic bread.
The cook lined the glass bowl in soft pasta sheets, overlapping them so the bowl was sealed.
She then added different layers inside the bowl, including a spinach and ricotta layer, a salami layer, a mushroom and olive layer and a ham, cheese and basil layer.
The final layer was raw chicken mince and tomato paste.
HOW IS A LASAGNE CAKE MADE?
Soft pasta sheets
Six slices of salami
Spinach and ricotta filling
Cheese (of choice)
Raw chicken mince
Spray a three litre bowl with oil. Line the bow with soft pasta sheets, overlapping to form a seal.
Add a tablespoon of cheese sauce and two pieces of salami, then top with pasta. Repeat this three times.
Add a layer of spinach and ricotta, then top with pasta.
Add a layer of olives and mushrooms, then top with pasta.
For the next layer combine basil, ham, cheese and garlic, then a layer of pasta.
For the final and largest layer add raw chicken mince mixed with 1/2 jar of pasta sauce. Cover with a final layer of pasta.
Fold all of the hanging sheets over and glue together with cheese sauce.
Press down firmly to seal.
Prick a small hole in the top. And place bowl into a slow cooker with five centimetres of water in the bottom.
Cook through. Then stand for 15 minutes before serving with salad and garlic bread.

The huge bowl of food was left to cook in the slow cooker and then left to stand for 1 minutes.
