Incredible moment one of Australia’s largest snakes dislocates its jaw and devours a wallaby

Terrified onlookers captured the incredible moment a scrub python dislocated its jaw as it devoured a wallaby in Queensland.
The image was posted onto the Son of Gun Facebook page on December 5 and has been shared more than 11,000 times.
The picture shows the large scrub python dislocating its jaw as its stretches around the lower part of the wallaby.
People were quick to comment on the photograph with some claiming it had been photoshopped.

Wrapping itself around the wallaby, the python uses every part of its body to push the prey further into its mouth
Scrub pythons, a common inhabitant of Northern Queensland, can grow up to eight meters long and often consume small mammals, particular wallabies.
There have been several other cases of scrub pythons targeting wallabies in Northern Queensland in 2019 with video footage showing a scrub python in attack mode.
The individual who caught the python has been contacted to comment on the recent incident.
