He urged resisting attempts to rewrite history and distort the role of the Russian special services in defeating Nazism, stressing that the role that intelligence agents played in protecting national interests cannot be denied.
Putin added, “Our common mission is to resist any attempts to rewrite history, including distorting the role of local special services in defeating Nazism, and ensuring national security and the national interests of our country.”
He continued: “We are truly proud of the glorious pages in the history of your administrations and the undeniable role of intelligence agents in protecting national interests and combating terrorism.”
