The Austrian Ministry of Interior confirmed, on Tuesday, that the end of the transitional period for British exit from the European Union on December 31, will not affect the status of the British community already residing in Austria, as they can retain the right to reside in the country.
A statement by the Ministry of the Interior said today, Tuesday, that the Austrian government is keen that the current British community will not be subjected to any hindrance in their lives and that they can continue to work and study without hindrance, indicating that the British who wish to settle in Austria (as of January 1, 2021) will be according to new rules on them. Especially in countries outside the European Union, and they have to submit to stricter entry controls.
